Curriculum

The academic program is organized on a modified block schedule. Using a two-day schedule, students take at minimum six 83-minute classes and one 40 minute class. All courses are year-long, each class meets every other day. Students have the opportunity to accelerate in math beginning in grade 8. 

SVCS offers a total of 57 college credits through dual credit courses. Dual credit courses are offered through Tompkins Cortland Community College, SUNY Morrisville, and Syracuse University Project Advance. Additional college credits can be earned through taking college courses on campus at SUNY Morrisville or through the Colgate University Community Scholars program.

Grading and Ranking

Stockbridge Valley grades on a 0 - 100 scale. Class ranking will be based on all high school credit bearing courses. A minimum of 22 credits is required for graduation. Grades are recorded on the transcript and GPA is computed in June.
