Dependents of Employees

*If you have a dependent who is enrolled in a full-time accredited higher learning institution, it is important for you to recertify your dependent to Excellus Blue Cross Blue Shield and Delta Dental on a yearly basis to keep their coverage in force.  Please use the appropriate forms found below.

DEPENDENT COVERAGE TO AGE 26:

What is it?  The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act was signed into law by the federal government in March 2010.  The law requires private insurers that offer dependent coverage to children to allow young adults up to age 26 to remain on the parent's insurance plan.  When our new plan year started on July 1, 2011, SVCS has made this option available to all its employees & their qualifying dependents.  Please stop in the Business Office for more information regarding eligibility guidelines & open enrollment.
