Building Security

  • In an effort to promote a safe & secure learning environment for our students, all school entrances are locked. ALL visitors are asked to make the Elementary tunnel, at the front of the building, the single point of entry.   Be aware that in some instances, you could be asked to provide a photo i.d. before you are admitted into the building.  So please anticipate that request could be made by bringing your i.d. with you.  You will be directed to sign the visitor log in the Business Office and obtain a visitor's pass.

At that point, you will be escorted to your destination by office staff.  In some cases, we recognize that it may be more practical to pick up a sick student at the Nurse's Office entrance at the back of the building.  A sick child or a visit to the Nurse's Office is the only time in which you will be allowed in that entrance.

Parents/visitors are not allowed to go directly to classrooms to pick up students or to make school-related deliveries. Report to the Elementary or High School Offices and our office staff will be more than happy to assist you in making contact with your child. Please don't forget to sign out when you leave - this measure helps us to determine who is in the building should an emergency occur.

**In order to maintain a secure, non-disruptive learning environment for our students, former students/alumni are asked to schedule all building visits after 2:40 p.m.

If you have any questions regarding these guidelines, please call the District Office at 495-4400.  Your cooperation in keeping our students safe is greatly appreciated!
