Progressing in the Right Direction!
We are thrilled to share some fantastic updates from our school community!
1st in the State for Geometry Scores: We are proud to announce that our school has achieved the highest number of students scoring at the proficiency level in the state on the June 2024 Geometry Regents! This accomplishment reflects students' hard work, dedication, and the exceptional teaching they receive. Congratulations to all our students and Mr. Tillotson for this remarkable achievement!
State Testing: As we continue to navigate through the academic year, our students are preparing for state testing. We encourage everyone to stay focused and do their best. Remember, preparation is key, and we believe in each of you!
- May 1 - Science State Testing - grades 5 and 8
- May 13 & 14 - Math State Testing - grades 3-8
- June 10 - Regents Exam for Life Science: Biology (9th graders)
- June 10 - Regents Exam for Earth and Space Sciences (10th graders)
- June 11 - Regents Exam for Geometry (10th and 11th graders)
- June 17-25 - Regents Week
Donkey Basketball - A Huge Success! Our recent Donkey Basketball event was a tremendous success! It was a fun-filled night that brought families closer together and strengthened our community bonds. Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to making this event memorable and for coming out and supporting our FFA program!
Mathletics Competition: Our students recently showcased their skills in a Mathletics competition, demonstrating their exceptional mathematical abilities. We are proud of their efforts and the spirit of teamwork they displayed. While this was their last event of the year, we’d like to come back strong in the Fall. Thank you to all who participated in this event.
Continuous Academic Work and Effort: We are committed to maintaining a high standard of academic excellence. Our students and teachers are continuously working hard, and we encourage everyone to keep pushing forward. Your efforts do not go unnoticed!

SVCS Graduation - Friday, June 27, 2025 at 6 p.m. (Seniors at SVCS by 5:15 p.m.)
