    Today is Day 2

    The Girls Varsity Softball Team will take on Hamilton in the 2nd round of sectionals today (5/26) with a 5:00 start time here at Stockbridge. Come out and support the Lady Cougars!

    Stockbridge Valley Girls Modified Softball beat McGraw 16-5 behind a dominating complete game pitching performance by Maddy Greene and an outpouring of offense from everyone up and down the batting lineup!!

    Drivers' Education sign up sheets are now available in the HS office - students please stop in and sign up if interested.

    SVCS is now accepting applications for Summer Employment - if interested, please stop into the high school office to obtain an application.

    Knot your average Pretzel Co. is open! Order ahead for delicious handmade soft baked pretzels from Mr. D’s Entrepreneurship class. Jumbo loops and mini bites are $3 each, sweet or salty including a dipping sauce choice of cheese or icing.

    Attention all HS Students - Arnies on Route 5 in Sherrill is currently hiring and looking for workers… if interested please stop in and complete an application.

    Week 3 for Pennies for Prom has ended and 11th grade remains in the lead! This week is the final one! Who will win the pizza party? Keep bringing in that change!

    There will be a Junior class meeting on Tuesday, May 31st at 2:45 in Mrs. Laraby’s room. Prom details will be discussed.

    AND….

    Attention juniors and seniors. We are approaching the final days of prom ticket sales. Tickets will not be sold at the door! Singles are $30 and couples are $50. See Mrs. Laraby to purchase.

    Attention Freshman Class Officers: There will be a meeting during lunch on Thursday in Mrs. E's room. Only class officers need to attend.

    There will be a Senior Class meeting on Tuesday, May 31 @ 2:00 in the blue room.

    Meaningful May action for today: Remember an event in  your life that was very meaningful.

    Today is Day 1

Opening Wednesday, May 25, Knot Your Average Pretzel Co. from Lily Kiehn, Sophia Stevens and Siena Marzan. Delicious, handmade soft baked pretzels in both salty and sweet varieties with cheese or icing dipping  sauces. Pretzels will be available in mini bites and jumbo loops, $3 each.

    Tonight, the varsity baseball team will be hosting a sectional playoff game against Mater Dei Academy.  The first pitch is at 5:00 PM.  If you have nothing going on, please come down and support our baseball team.  Let's have our home field advantage come to life tonight!

    High School Announcements 

    Today is Day 1

    The Lady Cougars finished off the regular season in style defeating the DeRuyter Rockets 15-0 in 5 innings.  Abby Reed threw a no hitter and helped her own cause offensively going 3 for 3 at the dish.  Also adding offensive punch were Alyssa Enslow and Jill Jacobs with a combined 4 hits including back to back triples in the first inning.   This secures the #1 seed in sectionals with an undefeated league season.   Keep rising up, the job’s not done.

    The golf team won their 3rd banner in the past 4 seasons with a 22 shot victory over Cincinnatus last night. 

    Caden Jones shot a blistering 42 with 4 pars including almost driving the par 4 335 yard green on 17. Keiffer Koehl from Morrisville was 2nd medalist with a 47. Alex Smith had 3 bogeys and a par, shooting a 55. Rocco Pizzuto had 3 bogeys with a 56, and first year player Mikey Beecher shot a personal best 57 with 3 double bogeys.

    There will be a Library Club meeting after school today.

    Science and Math Club will meet in Mrs. Bartlett's Room today after school.

    Jr. High FFA meeting in Mrs. Waldron room after school today.

    High School Announcements 

    Today is Day 2

    Yesterday afternoon the Varsity baseball team traveled to legendary Cooperstown, New York and played league foe McGraw on DoubleDay field where baseball was born.  The game was a thrilling game that went extra innings, but due to time constraints, ended in a 6 to 6 tie. Charlie Cross went 3 for 4 at the plate, with 2 runs scored, 1 RBI, 1 walk, a couple stolen bases, and threw out 2 runners at second.  Also, earned the "player of the game ball," from the one and only James Robert Ruth... Babe Ruth's grandson!! Robbie Wagner had a great game going 3 for 4 at the plate, 2 runs scored, and made a literal game-saving catch in left field making a huge catch to end the game as a tie with the winning run on third. Boys will host DeRuyter today at 4:30 in the last game of the regular season.  If the boys win today, they will have sole possession of the league and will be putting a banner up for the second season in a row.  Come out and support the boys!

    The Varsity Softball team clinched their 16th straight Central Counties League title with a victory over McGraw.  Alyssa Enslow earned the win in the circle striking out 9.  Jacobs, Mazzye, and Jayson combined for 9 RBI’s in the victory.  The Lady Cougars are looking to rise up one more time during the regular season and take down DeRuyter on the road tomorrow.

    The golf team shot their best scores of the year last night winning by 49 strokes in a rout of Madison. The team sits in first place with a 5-1 record. Caden Jones was low medalist with a 48, tying his season best. Alex Smith also shot his best score of the season with a 52. Mikey Beecher had his season low, a 58, and Rocco Pizzuto tied his best with a 52. The team travels to Cincinnatus today.  Please dismiss them at 2:10.

    All students in band and chorus please report to the auditorium at this time. The dress rehearsal is between 8th and 9th period (or 2 pm through 3:15).

    There will be a Library Club meeting after school on Thursday.

    Science and Math Club will meet in Mrs. Bartlett's Room on Thursday after school.

    Attn. Seniors:  The Charles E. Stratton Memorial Scholarship application is due this week. Please submit your application ASAP.

    High School Announcements 

    Today is Day 2

    The Lady Cougars continue to rise up with a pair of wins over the weekend dominating Cincinnatus and following that up with a comeback victory over one loss Brookfield.  In the Cincinnatus game the Lady Cougars rattled off 16 hits including a home run blast from Jill Jacobs.  Abby Reed went 3 for 5 with two doubles.  In the Sunday afternoon game, Abby Reed threw a no hitter as a mix of timely hitting and some small ball snatched victory from the jaws of defeat.  Mazzye, Graham, Enslow, Jacobs, Reed and Smith put together a 4-run inning in the 5th to seal the deal.  Keep rising up ladies!

    The juniors have stolen the number one spot for Pennies for Prom with $65.44. Sophomores are now in second place. Who will take the lead next week? Bring in your change to help your grade level! Thank you for the support this far.
