Summer is Prime Time for School Maintenance

While most students and teachers are off on their summer vacation, others are ramping up their workday. SVCS custodial staff and student summer workers are preparing the school for the return to school in the fall. “We are cleaning the classrooms top to bottom, painting walls, waxing the floors in the classrooms, gym, cafeteria and hallways and deep cleaning the kitchen,” said Dan Graves, custodian.

The District also employee student workers for the summer. Shown here are graduates of #SVCS #Classof2021, Thomas Meeker (Salutatorian) and Austin Nolley work as cleaners this summer for the District. Both college bound, Meeker wants to be a math teacher and will attend SUNY Cortland and Nolley will attend Iowa State University studying engineering. We wish them the best as they start their new journey.
