Superintendent's Conference Day: A Vision for Excellence in Education
On Tuesday, September 5th, the first day of Superintendent's Conference Day, training began with breakfast, a welcome-back video, and a motivating presentation from Corey Graves, Superintendent of Stockbridge Valley CSD. During this session, Graves engaged the staff in interactive activities and concluded by expressing gratitude to the existing staff while extending a warm welcome to the newcomers. "To attain excellence as a district, we must commit to daily efforts that enhance student achievement. Consistent attention to small details, combined with high expectations, paves the way for success," he said.
The morning finished with essential training sessions and crucial meetings, setting the stage for a year dedicated to achieving excellence in education.
During the day's events, Kristin Spinella from MORIC covered Promethean Board Year Two and provided training on ChatGPT/AI. Additionally, Brian Leach, Head Bus Driver, conducted a 2-hour refresher course for bus drivers/monitors.
In the afternoon, elementary and secondary principals convened for meetings and participated in online Right-to-Know training.
Day 2 of Superintendent’s Conference Day, scheduled for September 6, will feature Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Training with Becky Copp from MOBOCES and a presentation on Lightspeed Classroom by Derek Lalonde from MORIC.
Classes are set to begin tomorrow, Thursday, September 7, 2023.
