Stockbridge Valley National Honor Society Boosts Local Food Pantry with Thanksgiving Food Drive
In the spirit of Thanksgiving, the Stockbridge Valley National Honor Society, led by social studies teacher Mr. Healy, delivered a generous donation of non-perishable items to the First Congregational Church of Munnsville on November 21st. The effort was part of a pre-Thanksgiving food drive initiated by the National Honor Society.
What started as a routine charitable endeavor turned into a heartwarming collaboration when students from the Madison-Oneida BOCES Carpentry class, present to plan a handicapped accessible ramp, spontaneously assisted in unloading the donations.
The National Honor Society's Thanksgiving food drive proved highly successful, with the collected items filling a suburban load. The students' dedication, coupled with the unexpected assistance from the MOBOCES Carpentry class, highlighted the positive impact that small acts of kindness can have on a local community, especially during the season of gratitude.
